LIFE Guard
It is widely acknowledged that the use of mentors within early stage companies can (if well placed) be very beneficial, indeed LIFE's own experience of deploying mentors confirms this.
As a result LIFE created and manages a mentoring network called LIFE Guard. Each mentor within the network has been assessed against a set of competences for mentoring LIFE's early stage low carbon technology companies.
Given the importance of the mentor / mentee relationship, a significant amount of time is spent selecting and introducing our mentors to companies to ensures there is a good fit and that the company will give the mentor the latitude to operate.
